Temporary exhibition at the Cadaqués Museum - "Colita. Divine Portraits"
Colita's complicit and funny gaze, with her "divine" portraits, revives the characters who starred in Gauche Divine, in an exhibition at the Cadaqués Museum where you can see the great richness and spontaneity of the photographer in capturing those unique, delicious and unrepeatable moments.
The exhibition proposed by the Fundació Joan Vehí and curated by Anna Maio, received a great reception from the public last Saturday, July 19th at its inauguration, there were many Cadaqués residents and visitors who did not want to miss the presentation made by its curator, who recalled many of the anecdotes lived together with Colita, since Anna Maio already in the early 70s directed with great success one of the first and most controversial exhibitions of Colita.
Isabel Steva, better known as Colita, was a determined and direct woman, an undisputed portrait professional with a strong personality and a great sense of humor. It was her father who gave her the famous nickname when he told her that she had been found under a col.
The exhibition “Colita, Divine Portraits” can be seen at the Cadaqués Museum until the first days of January 2026.
